Record Participation at the Dubai Corporate Games. Leo Burnett Best Performing Co


What a weekend ! After 2 full days (and evenings) of matches, sweat, effort...and fun, the 6th Dubai Corporate Games concluded with the awards ceremony where Leo Burnett were declared the 2011 best overall performing company, edging Pepsi International who finished a close 2nd.


A record 1870 athletes representing 44 companies took part in the 31 different competitions on offer. Aramex won both the men's basketball and football competition, while AUD won the volleyball title. But it is in the individual sports that Leo Burnett and Pepsi accumulated the most podium finishes to finish as the top 2 companies: Leo Burnett won the 3 point shootout for both men and women (Ronnie Nader & Sally Yamak), Ronnie Nader won the Ironman race, Kinda El Issa won the Ladies' Squash...and Rayan Karaki emerged on top at FIFA PlayStaion.


Pepsi successfully defended their Dragon Boat title, placed  2nd in the Tug of war, and had a handful of medals in the running and swimming events, with Rob Lewis And Emma de Soecke.

The event was held at the American University in Dubai on March 18th and 19th, and was sponsored by: The Choueiri Group, AUD, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Nissan, Pepsi, Nokia, Nestle, Beiersdorf, Tecom, AUD, ITP, Sony PlayStation, the American Hospital and Sport 360.
